Ahoy me hearties! This here be a special post t’ celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day so drop anchor and listen up. With all the focus that Disney has on pirates, I thought twould be a good idea t’ do a wee bit o’ pirate natterin’. Every September 19th be TLAP day. Somewhere that scurvy bilge rat Cap’n Hook be doing a pirate dance. According t’ th’ official TLAP website, th’ point o’ TLAP day be that thar ain’t no point other than jus t’ave a wee bit o’ fun. Fer all ye landlubbers, beware o’ buccaneers that would have ye’ “feed the fish”. They only be wishin’ to send ye t’ yer fate in Davy Jones’ locker.
Me sprogs love pirates, especially DisKid #2. That lass be a bit lovelorn over Cap’n Jack Sparrow. Me lit’lest scallywag is a fan o’ Jake ‘n the Neverland Pirates. His nursery is complete with an anchor, a ship’s wheel, a treasure map, and even a poop deck (the changing table). He’s a handsome lit’le buggaroo if I do say so me’self. Disney Junior has been promoting today as Talk Like a Neverland Pirate Day. Shiver me timbers! What a bit o’ piratin’ genius.
