Welcome to those of you joining me from Your Highway in the Sky and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 4th stop on our Magical Blogorail.
Anyone who’s ever been to any of the Disney parks knows that Disney is all about the details…those things that make each person feel special. Sure there are rides and restaurants and shopping galore, but you can find those things at any other theme park. So what makes Disney so special? It’s the details of the Disney magic. The Magical Blogorail Green Loop is sharing some of the hidden treasures of Disney today, and here are a few of my favorites…
Did you know that you can get a sprinkle of pixie dust at Tinker Bell’s Treasures in Magic Kingdom? All you have to do is ask the Cast Member there.
Did you know that there is a walking talking “vine” at Animal Kindgdom? Her name is DeVine, and if you’re not careful, she’ll scare the crap out of you!
One of my favorite hidden treasures that’s not so hidden, but is not as known about as other activities is the Disney Junior Dance Party that takes place at Hollywood Studios during evening Extra Magic Hours. We just happened to stumble upon it a few years ago, and it’s still one of my favorite Disney memories. It takes place at the Disney Junior – Live on Stage! location. Mickey and the gang were there dancing with everyone. There was no line which was great, and there was not a large crowd as I would have expected. There was plenty of opportunity for character interaction, but for those with little ones who may be character-shy, it’s simply a great place to be together as a family and be silly, dancing and singing. We had so much fun that night that we spent the rest of the evening dancing there, and then we all skipped and danced as we were leaving the park that night.
We made it a point to return on a later trip and enjoyed it just as much. During both of our visits, there was a Cast Member who was making balloon animals and other objects (crowns, swords, just about anything) free of charge. If you are planning on being at Hollywood Studios during evening Extra Magic Hours, do NOT miss this!!! It’s one of my favorite hidden treasures in all of Disney!
Thank you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is Adventures of a Disney Princess.
