Happy Monday! Welcome to another edition of our PINspiration blog hop. This week I’m sharing another look at DisKid #3′s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse birthday party that we celebrated several weeks ago. These are the fruit kabobs and cheese tray that I created…
…using PINspiration from these pins…
I got the idea for the Mickey cheese from this gal. She takes some beautiful pictures! There’s not really much to tell about the cheese other than that I purchased cheese slices and cut them into Mickey head shapes using a Mickey cookie cutter. Easy and fun! My kind of project!
Then I washed off the cookie cutter to use on the kabobs. I got the idea for this from Edible Arrangements. I didn’t need anything hardly that big so I decided to make a couple of smaller ones. I used grapes, canteloupe, watermelon, and pineapple so they would be awesomely colorful. I cut the pineapple into full slices and used the cookie cutter to make the Mickey heads which I used for the tops of some of the kabobs.
I found some glass containers at the Dollar Tree and taped on some Disney ribbon. I covered Styrofoam blocks with red tissue paper and stuffed them into the containers. These need to be pretty tight so the weight of the fruit doesn’t pull them out. I think they turned out great except people chose to eat the loose fruit on the tray rather than mess up the arrangement. (No worries. I demolished them later. I LOVE FRUIT!)
What did you create this week? Something with a Disney theme? Did you try that awesome-looking artichoke pizza. (Did you fail?) I wanna see and hear all about it!
